CHAPTER 3: EVALUATING YOUR WEBSITE

Is your website up to snuff?

Attracting customers to your website is only half of the challenge. How will you retain visits to your site? Make sure you have the right tools to engage visitors in personalized conversations by considering the following factors:

Accuracy

Ensure that all information is accurate and can be verified and is free of spelling, grammar, and punctuation mistakes.

Authority

White papers and documentation should indicate clearly who the author is and what credentials he/she has.

Objectivity

It should be clear why the site was created and for whom; advertising should be clearly differentiated from informational content.

Currency

Keep it current: The accuracy of any information source is often influenced by how recently it was created.

Coverage

The purpose of your website should be clear and specific; high-quality websites are interactive, offering services and information not found elsewhere, free of charge.

Accessibility

Create a universally accessible website that is easily viewable in different browsers and responsive, since approximately 50 percent of users are on a mobile device.

Design

Good design is visually appealing, easy to navigate and read, and reinforces the purpose of the site while giving it a unified look and feel.

Looks like you have it all covered. Nice work!
